Old Shoreham Tollbridge opened

 

The newly refurbished timber bridge was officially opened by HRH The Duke of York on 23rd October. The lottery funded project, undertaken by West Sussex County Council, who represented a number of local organisations has enabled the bridge, Grade II listed and built in 1781, to be restored close to its original condition. The refurbishment programme took place in the spring and summer of 2008 and the Tollbridge was reopened 2 weeks ahead of schedule.> more

Mackley Gain FSC/PEFC Certification

 

Early in 2008 Mackley Construction gained its certification for the use of sustainable timber through its construction activities – we are one of only a few contractors to ensure that timber is procured from sustainable, managed forests. We were awarded Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

Mackley Construction have now gained combined certification embracing Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management. The successful transition audit in June 2008 sets the company on course to provide a comprehensive high standard of service in all respects. Combines with our FSC/PEFC Certification, our Clients will be assured of our standards of delivery.

Mackley 3 Peaks Challenge 2008
 

Following the success of last years event, where the Mackley Team successfully completed the 3 Peaks Challenge in under 23hrs, coming 8th out of 46 teams. We have decided to enter the event again.>more

Team Van Oord awarded flood defence work
 

The Team Van Oord partnership between Van Oord, May Gurney and Mackley has been selected by the Environment Agency (EA) as one of seven contractors for a second-generation flood defence, waterways and water resources capital works programme. >more
