Rebuilding of Steel Works

When Thamesteel Ltd rebuilt the steelworks at Sheerness, Mackley were award a contract for the demolition of the existing blast furnace foundations and construction of new bases.

The work was carried out on a round the clock, seven days a week basis, alongside other contractors.

This required careful planning – meeting deadlines to ensure that material delivery times were met and no contractors work was unnecessarily interrupted. The whole project was completed and commissioned on programme.
