Mackley Construction recently installed a Bailey Bridge to provide heavy plant access to Chertsey Water Treatment Works. The Bailey Bridge is capable of carrying the piling rig, cranes and excavators which are needed for the £3m scheme. Mackley were given possession of the access road and existing access bridge at 1800hrs and the temporary bridge was operational by 0300hrs that same night with the first item of plant arriving on site at 0700hrs the following morning.
